Device color aside 
Many thanks to the folks over at www.pogoplug.com . For $129 bones I can now host all my photos, music, files, and videos on my own cloud securely and privately from my home. Connected to my Internet router via Ethernet I decide who sees what folders and files on the drive and what kind of access they have. They also have an iPhone app that allows for direct upload and download of files to and from my cloud. Sweet.
No more having to email photos and videos to the fam down in Texas, now with direct access, to one of four usb drives the pogoplug supports, they have the ability to see and download full res photos and videos at their convenience. That alone is worth the $129 bucks. The possibilities with this device are endless since they openly support hacking the device for custom apps to run on the mini computer inside the pogoplug.
